Creating, Editing, and Deleting a Branch
Description
The starting point of branching is User Registration where all users have the ability to create, edit, and delete a branch.
This article describes the following information about branches:
Branch Types
Primary Branch
This is the branch to which the user belongs.
A user can only be assigned to one branch at a time.
The default value is Default.
Branch Permissions
These are the branches to which the user has View permissions for leads.
The user can view, take, and assign leads belonging to these branches.
Users can be assigned to have permissions to all, multiple branches, or a specific branch with the associated data.
All permissions grants access to view all branches.
The default value is Default.
Creating a New Branch
Users may add a new branch via User Registration. The Add New Branch popup opens when the user clicks the + sign next to the Branch field.
A green popup notification appears confirming that the new branch has been created.
Editing an Existing Branch
Users may edit an existing branch via User Registration. The Edit Branch popup appears when the user clicks the Edit button next to the Branch field.
The updated branch is saved by clicking the Update button on the Edit Branch popup. A green popup notification appears confirming that the branch has been successfully updated.
Deleting an Existing Branch
Users may delete an existing branch via User Registration. The Delete Branch popup appears when the user clicks the Delete button next to the Branch field.
The Delete Branch popup confirmation window appears. If the selected branch is associated with active users or campaigns, a notice appears asking the user which branch the deleted branch should be reassigned to. This is required if:
The user is deleting a Primary Branch for users. A new branch MUST be selected.
The user is deleting a branch associated with a Lead Campaign. Replacing the branch is optional.
The user is deleting a branch associated to an External Partner. Replacing the branch is optional.
Once the user clicks the Delete button, the Deleting Branch popup appears to reconfirm the deletion.
A green popup notification appears confirming that the branch has successfully been deleted.
